FUTURE FUSION

Looking back on Y2K futurism (likely influenced by cyberpunk), notice a lot of projections include Asian flairs. What started as fashion influences from graphic tees to hair accessories in the 90s, made its way into a lot of futuristic settings from film to music videos. Thought about it and maybe a big reason is because artists suspect international influences like China and tech-forward powerhouse like Japan would inevitably become commonplace. Food for thought.
