AI AMBIVALENCE

With the arrival of artificial intelligence, it can be difficult to know where to stand; especially as a designer. On one hand, AI seems like the next logical step in the speed of tech evolution that makes our lives more convenient although some may argue lazy, stunted, or verging on copyright violation. But like all great inventions like to think it will be another tool to make design more efficient/innovative without any real danger to human replacement considering the complexity of our creative facility. Anyway, although in its infancy after playing with some Adobe integrations can see why people are fans. Still figuring the constraints but so far seem intuitive/fun with limitless generative possibilities. Quality is ok, but can verge on artificial, but detailed descriptions/references help. Yet to fiddle with third-party applications but my hunch is they’re similar animals. Just one more marketable skill to add to ongoing stacks/aim to incorporate it into ongoing projects. We’ll see what happens.
